(2.0) OPENING PRAYER:The opening prayer was said by Pharm. Kola Ekujumi at 12:24 PM
(3.0) PHARMACY ANTHEM: The pharmacy anthem was led by Pharm. S.O Adekola.
(4.0) WELCOME REMARKS: The chairman Pharmacist B.O Taiwo appreciated the gathering. He extended his heartfelt wishes for a prosperous new year for all pharmacist in the state. He invited past chairmen of PSN to the podium. He reiterated that this will be the practice of honouring our past leaders at each meeting said this will be practice of honouring our past leaders at each meeting. He also said executives will be present on the podium henceforth.
(5.0) READING, CORRECTION AND ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA:
The agenda was read by the secretary Pharm. Orimoloye Oluwaseun and thereafter the motion for adoption was moved by Pharm. S.O Adekola and seconded by Pharm. Kola Ekujumi

(7.0) READING, CORRECTION AND ADOPTION OF MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING:
The minutes of the last meeting was read by the secretary and the following corrections were made
(a) ATTENDANCE: The suffix FPSN should be included to the names on numbers 9 and 10 on the attendance
(b) 5.0 APOLOGY (Names correction) – The name is Pharm (Mrs) Bosede Oluwatayo Omotoyinbo FPSN not Pharm. Bosede Omotoyinbo FPSN
(C) 7.4 Football match (Name correction) NAPA- The Nigerian association of pharmacists in Academia not Nigerian Association of Academic pharmacists is the correct iteration.
(d) 11.0 (MOTION FOR ADJOURNMENT) Name correction: Pharm. Esther Olaoluwa is the full name not pharm. Esther.
(8.0) MOTION FOR ADOPTION:
The motion for adoption of the minutes of the last meeting was moved by Pharm. Samuel O. Adekola and it was seconded by Pharm. S.O Oladimeji
(9.0) MATTERS ARISING :
9..1 CONFERENCE UPDATES
Pharm. Kola Ekujumi Admonished the executives to prepare early for the national conference coming up at KANO, He suggested the creation of a transportation committee to facilitate transportation to the venue.
(10.0) BUSINESS OF THE DAY
(10.1) PSN BUS PROJECT:
The chairman intimated the house on the decision of the executives to pursue a bus project. He stressed the dire need for the project and also highlighted the positive feedback the executives received since the initiation of this proposal from the members.
The executives will leave no stone unturned to bring about the realization of the project.
We are currently working on a dedicated account for the project.
The chairman used this opportunity to appreciate all the heads of constituent technical groups of PSN, Distinguished fellows of the society in the state and past state chairmen. He used Olori Wemimo Akande FPSN, Pharm. S.O Adekola, Pharm. Kunle Ashaolu FPSN and current state chairs of AHAPN and ACPN as relevant points of reference.
(10.2) COUNCIL REPORTS:
PSN COUNCIL MEETING/ INAUGURATION / INVESTITURE OF NEW FELLOWS OF THE PSN
The inauguration of the new PSN national president / Investiture of new fellow of the PSN will come up on the 28th of February 2025 at Abuja, While the council meeting will hold on the 27th of February also at Abuja.
The three newly nominated fellows of the state in person of Pharm S.O Adekola, Pharm Kayode Ogunsulire and Pharm B.O Taiwo will be present at the event.
The state has requested for more fellows from the council.
(10.2.1) PCN REPORTS
The registrar has asked for the cooperation from the states and he explained how logistics have hampered the smooth implementation of their duties.
(10.2.2) INCREMENT IN PSN DUES
The council has stated that any increment in dues at subnational level including national bodies of technical groups of PSN must be duly communicated to and approved by PSN council.
(10.3) PUBLIC HEARING ON UNIMEDTH BILL
The representatives of the society including state executives, fellows, past chairmen and leaders of technical groups attended the hearing at the assembly complex.
The current erroneous provision of having a succession of physicians as the head of the institution was properly addressed.
A follow up has been made and the document (bill) will be made available once we have accessed it.
The University remains University of Medical Sciences as the proposal for a name change to the University of Health Sciences was not admitted.
The Nigerian association of Pharmacists in Academia (NAPA) appreciated our effort and also intend to pay us a visit in the near future.
A missive has been sent to the executive Governor of Ondo state on the issue.
(11.0) TECHNICAL GROUP REPORT
(11.1) ACPN: The state chairman, Pharm Adetunji Solomon, Emphasized the following.
(a) Training will commence at all ACPN meetings from henceforth.
(b) Members of ACPN are to make use of their whatsapp group to facilitate the prevention of losses on products that have a close date of expiration.
They were encouraged to upload the products early on the group so that other members might be of help to them.
(c) A data bank for ACPN members is on the way.
(11.2) AHAPN:
The state chairman Pharm. Fagbemi reiterated the following
(a) SALARY ISSUES: The CONHESS 2023 adjustment is currently before Mr. Governor. The association is working with Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals (state chapter) in negotiation. Good news is expected soon.
(b) DEDUCTIONS/ REGISTRATION FOR 2025:
The resolution at the just concluded meeting was
(i) Members deductions for 2024 will be paid directly to pharmagateway and the remaining amount to complete the dues will be made by members individually.
(ii) Members deductions for 2025 will be used for 2026 registration.
(iii) The national body recently increased national dues to #15,000 and also introduced #10,000 as defense fees.
(c) TURN OUT FOR MEETINGS:
He encouraged members of the association to turn out for meetings regularly.
(12.0) ZONAL REPORTS
(12.1) AKURE ZONE
The coordinator, Pharm Adeolu Titus stated the points highlighted below
(12.1.1) PSN COOPERATIVE: The PSN cooperative is on solid footing, He invited Pharm. Kunle Ashaolu FPSN to enlighten the house on the modus operandi of the cooperative society and the attendant benefits.
Pharm. Kunle Ashaolu encouraged members to join and be consistent. Two thousand naira is required for registration along with a statutory payment of #500 naira monthly. Members can decide the amount to contribute and they can access double that amount in six months.
(12.2) ONDO ZONE – NO REPORT
(12.3) AKOKO ZONE – NO REPORT
(12.4) OWO ZONE – NO REPORT
(12.5) OKITIPUPA ZONE – NO REPORT
The PSN chairman Pharm B.O Taiwo said the executive is looking at ways to further strengthen the zones and also encourage zonal coordinators to do more.
(13.0) YPG INAUGURATION
The inauguration proceeded smoothly, the former executives were applauded for a job well done.
The outgoing coordinator, Pharm. Adamolekun Tolu appreciated the PSN executive for making her tenure a success. She sought support for the incoming executives from all members.
The new executives were sworn in by the chairman who administered the oath of office.
Pharm. Okikiola is the new YPG Coordinator.

(14.1) APPRECIATION
Pharm (Mrs) F.C Oluwatimilehin FPSN appreciated Akure zone members for their contributions towards the success of the meeting
Pharm (Mrs) Olubunmi Oke FPSN is currently having an occasion in Ekiti, She sends her greetings.
Pharm. Akwuba Chinwe appreciated the house for the successful wedding ceremony of her son held at south east.
(14.2) ENGAGEMENT WITH TCAM
The director Pharm Kola Ekujumi encouraged those with interest in herbal research to engage with the department.
