2.0 PHARMACY ANTHEM:The pharmacy anthem was sung at 1:02 PM to open the meeting.
3.0 OPENING PRAYER:The opening prayer by Pharm Fadipe.
4.0 SITTING ARRANGEMENT: The Chairman invited all former chairmen, fellows and directors of pharmaceutical services in the state to step forward and occupy their designated seats.
5.0 PRESENTATION BY SHELF LIFE:A company, shelf life, presented to the house stating the benefits of trading with them.

7.0 WELCOME REMARKS: The chairman welcomed all to the meeting, appreciating all who came from long distances and said the meeting will be brief. Designated time is 1 hour 30 minutes.
8.0 READING/ ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA:
The agenda was briefly looked into and the motion for adoption was moved by Pharm. Olabode Ogunjemiyo FPSN and seconded by Pharm Babalola Taiwo FPSN.
9.0 READING AND ADOPTION OF THE MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING: The minutes of the last meeting was read and the following corrections was made

10.0 MATTERS ARISING
10.1 COUNCIL MEETING:The reports of the council meeting was given by the secretary. There were several developments which was communicated to the house.
10.2 INAUGUARATION OF NEW PSN PRESIDENT AND NATIONAL EXECUTIVES AND INVESTITURE OF NEW FELLOWS:
The inauguration was successful with the presence of dignitaries such as chief of staff to the president, The GMD NNPC, DG NAFDAC, Director Food and drugs administration ministry of health, Chairman Pharmacy council of Nigeria. Etc.
The investiture of new fellows was an highlight of the evening and the new fellows from ondo state in person of pharm. Babalola Osabiya Taiwo FPSN, Pharm. Samuel Adekola FPSN and Pharm. Kayode Ogunsulire FPSN were invested with the highest honors of the society along with others from different states.
10.3 PSN BUS PROJECT:The chairman updated the house that several visits were made to companies in lagos and ogun state.
Green life promised (#1,000,000) one million naira donation towards the bus project to be redeemed within a week. The CMD of Fidson plc also promised to get across in two weeks, a dedicated account at Providus bank has been opened for this purpose.
He also promised to get across to Tisco for support. He encouraged members to support the project.
10.4 PAYMENT OF DUES:All pharmacists were encouraged to update their registrations as soon as possible as there is a new introduction of 100% penalty after the march 31st due date.
11.0 BUSINESS OF THE DAY:
11.1 P.I.C REPORT
– The zonal director of PCN for the southwest in person of Pharm. (mrs) Adenike Ogunlola visited the state recently.
– She highlighted the issue of illegal premises in the state.
– She encouraged those with unregistered premises and full store owners to register appropriately with the council as the registrar has directed all unregistered medicine outlets to be sealed without payment of fine.
–There is currently an inspection being conducted to support NAFDAC by PCN in order to stem the tide of fake drugs in the society. She also said outlets registered and owned by non-pharmacists are strictly wholesale outlet and should be kept so.
11.2 WEBSITE PROJECT:The chairman informed the house that the website is under development and will be ready soon.
11.3 YOUNG PHARMACIST AFFAIRS: The chairman encouraged young pharmacists coming into the state to ask questions before negotiating contracts with would be employers. Every profession, he said; regulates and adds value to themselves.
He discussed the meeting with APPMA where the national president of that body was asking PSN to stay out of contract negotiations between his members and would be superintendent pharmacists. He said that the state has been alleged to have the highest number of R&G and hence decisive actions will be taken against pharmacists who register and leave. A register will be available at the secretariat to document such occurrences.
11.4 PSN ESTATE COMMITTEE: The estate committee was constituted last year, but they are yet to give reports on the state of the PSN Estate located at ilado. Pharm. Samuel Adekola opined that the committee should be given more time to do the job.
The committee was inaugurated with the mandate of concluding their assignment within two months.

The society will give financial support as necessary. Pharm Aiyeku FPSN, Gave a brief report on the activities of the estate, stating that the ‘Nigerian factor’ has delayed the proposed development of the estate via Mortgage bank of Nigeria.
12.0 ZONAL REPORTS
12.1 AKURE ZONE:
The zone currently holds meeting regularly, they are championing the Akure zone multipurpose cooperative society and also hosting the meeting for today as reported by the zonal coordinator Pharm. Adeolu Titus.
12.2 OWO ZONE:
Meetings are being held regularly and the zone is encouraging members to complete their registration before the deadline of 31st march, 2025 as reported by the zonal coordinator Pharm (Mrs.) Yemisi Bodede.
12.3 ONDO ZONE:
Meetings are held regularly as reported by the coordinator Pharm. Esther O.
12.4 OKITIPUPA ZONE: No report
12.5 AKOKO ZONE: No report.
13.0 DISCUSSIONS ON THE AKURE ZONE COOPERATIVE
There were debates on why the cooperative was not central but zonal. Suggestions were made to make the cooperative more centrally coordinated. The zone clarified through the coordinator that the cooperative is for everybody and not restricted to Akure zone members. It was also noted that the cooperative formed during Pharm. Aiyeku Abiodun tenure was still existing and should be resuscitated.
The zonal coordinator Akure zone was appointed as the chairman of PSN, Ondo cooperative society and should report to the executives.
Professor Olayiwola stated that cooperative and business duties of the PSN should not be mixed together. He promised to be around to give insights into the running of the cooperative as this was his niche at ife. He explained that the cooperative should be something more robust and permanent and PSN should warehouse it and make it workable.
14.0 AOB
14.1 VISITATION FROM FACULTY OF PHARMACY ACHIEVERS UNIVERSITY OWO.
Professor Olayiwola along with two other colleagues Prof (Mrs) Owolabi and Pharm Famakinde were officially welcomed to the state by the whole house.
He said he along with his colleagues have been given the task of steering the newly accredited faculty of pharmacy Achievers University Owo to enviable heights. He stated the intent of the faculty is to produce medicines via manufacturing on a large scale in the nearest future. He called for support for the faculty from members of PSN Ondo state.
The chairman welcomed them and said a congratulatory letter will be written to both Achievers University and Wesley University on this massive achievement.
14.2 WELCOME ADDRESS TO THE NEW FELLOWS
Pharm. Olabode Ogunjemiyo FPSN welcomed the new fellows of the PSN to the Board of Fellows in Ondo state. He said this brings the numbers of resident fellows from 12 to 15. An official welcome will come up later.
15.0 MOTION FOR ADJOURNMENT
The motion for adjournment was moved by Pharm. S.O. Adekola and was seconded by Professor (Mrs) Owolabi
